Sergio Strizzi began his career as a photo journalist and moved into the film business as a stills photographer in 1952. Since then he has worked with Italy's finest directors: Antonioni, Blasetti, De Sica, Germi, Monicelli, Petri, Rosi and Soldati, as well as Benigni, Tornatore, Scola, and Cavani. His work with non-Italian directors includes some of the James Bond films and projects with directors such as Jospeh Losey, John Huston, Peter Yates and Terry Gilliam. Strizzi was Audrey Hepburn’s photographer of choice and is considered to be one of still photography’s greatest exponents.

The festival will open on the 15th of April with a special evening at BAFTA - home of the most prestigious film award in the UK - where Oscar winning director Gabriele Salvatores will present the UK premiere of his latest comedy, Happy Family.
